Can't you just hear the responses of the main subjects in these two incidents, when they realize what has happened...

...OH CRAP...

Probably ruined their whole day...

Here's a little more info on the first "mistake."

I love the line..."felony stupid, but not a crime."

You know...I have done all kinds of stupid things in my life...but fortunately, I have never made a sex video, and given it to my students...

My second year of teaching there was a teacher's party after the homecoming game. Someone had the birght idea of setting up the video camera in the corner and taping the party on the same tape as the game tape. A few days later I had students saying that they saw me getting drunk. I told them that I don't get drunk and where did they think they saw me getting drunk--the video tape came up. There's a reason I don't go to teacher's parties anymore. Fortunately, this was before the internet, so it didn't get distributed.

I always remind my students to be careful what they record because it WILL somehow end up distributed. Last year I collected a cell phone just as a 9th grade boy opened a text of one of his female classmates, topless. I learned later that she was horrified. That text probably got sent to quite a few people and is probably still on a lot of phones.

So, be careful what you do and where you do it--someone may end up with something you don't want them to see.

When I was in school, Polaroid cameras were the thing for taking pictures and not having to get them developed anywhere. Yes, they got passed around the locker room, but nothing like these days on the internet.

Having taught public school for 34 years, wtf were these teachers thinking! While I'm not about to be the morals police, you have to keep your head above water when it comes to school/work related items. Makes us all look bad.

The coach had the game film. Also, that was in '85. Finally, I was one of the few NOT drinking. :)

I can't understand the need to film or picture so many of the things we humans do.

It becomes a hard lesson we learn, only after the the embarrassment has been made public.

A very unfortunate lesson for that teacher, I can't see her sending the CD out deliberately. But now she has to explain it over and over for the sake of her job.

The cop though, is another matter?
