What do you think of this as a project......An MG Midget lowered and the body section 6 inches !!!!!!!!!!!
I know I know you think the engine would stick through........not if it's a Wankel engine. Section it as much as possible with maybe a little bump in the hood.
Here's what I think it would look like .

Regular Midget

A future project I would like to do !

Looks good, but aren't they low enough already? Interstate driving in a Midget is downright scary!
Might make it a little more stable. Just a novelty. How would you like to take this Fiat out on the interstate !

That's been done it's called a nash rambler. I think you would have to connect the tranny right to the rear end on that one.

I thought it was a Metropolitan ???
Oh Yeah ! You are right Larry it was the Metropolitan. Just a sign of me getting old, my brother in law's father has three of them. I tried to get him to sell me one. I wanted to do a full resto on it and paint it like the one my uncle Bob had. It was kind of a tan and white if I remember right. I have so many projects I want to do I am just going to have to live to be 150 .

As if a Midget isn't small enough all ready. I'm already looking a bit like the guy in the photo in my Midget and it's still the original size. :) Still an intersting idea for an autocross car or such for a short driver or stretch the wheel base a bit so a taller guy could lie down a bit and get really low.
That was my idea. Stretch it at the vertical fender to body ,hood to body seam. Would be easiest area. Would add to engine area. Could also move engine back. Or make door longer so could get in and out. Thought about it years ago. Maurice
Not as radical as some but this one is sitting in my garage.......

One of the fellows who works with me is building a Gasser Bugeye and has stretched the car about 9" I believe. The rockers look corrrrrect but a bit long. :)
