What on earth made you think to look up "Ragg Mopp"? Very cool. I haven't heard that in years, but use part of it when I improvise with boogie woogie piano. I used to dance to that with my mother back in the early 50s. I was about 6 years old.Great memories. Thanks Wyatt.

I think it was 1949 when the parents of my brother-in-law, my parents, an I drove about 1600 miles to visit my sister and husband in Corpus Christi, Texas. Chicken fried steak was the new eating sensation and the three top songs were Ragg Mopp, Chattanooga Shoeshine Boy, and Call Of The Wild Goose. Every restaurant had chicken fried steak for the special and no matter which radio station you turned to at any hour of the day one of those three songs was playing.

That was just GREAT!!

For some reason it made me think of this ... although it's from a different era and really has nothing in common other than the sheer exuberance of the performers.
