....no words to express the revulsion at this pick and choseing of winners and losers....the occupants of the white house need to be run out on a rail. Those of us who paid our bills (of both parties) get it in the a$$ by these marxist swine pandering with taxpayers money to buy votes...if they wanted to be "fair" a property tax break for all would be a more honest appeal.

Dunno, Though the article is a bit old and talks about a key Aug 17th meeting, and since nothing public has happened, hopefully they dropped the idea as even too expensive or stupid.

Of course, Obie wants another $50 billion plus stimulus bill.

My point is I have never heard of this so it's most likely true.

In a odd way I hope it is since Obie's popularity just keeps going south.

Anything to knee-cap this dope is good for me. Obie is the gift that keeps givng.

Proud to be the party of NO

Lets see how proud you are next year when we are in a full blown depression.

Pat, it is not us who are moving us in the direction of a depression. Or can you let us know which policy or legislation that Obama wanted that he has not gotten. Which has been stopped.

Aren't you going to kill everything? If not why should the righties vote for you?

Sep 07, 2010 18:08:29

We are not trying to kill everything just change it and take the extreme out of it. But the Democrat leadership refuses to give an inch which brings about the no votes. And it also fits the plan by the Democrats they want the issue to be just what you are spouting. They want it to be about the party of no even though you can't give an example of something Obama has not gotten.

I worked late last night and did not watch the news. I still have not heard about it!

I agree, but it will change.

Ahhh the cry of the conservopropertarians....

eric e not everyone subscribes to outright stealing of others property as you do....that you are happy with your beliefs says volumes about who and what you are. That it bothers you not for all the world to see is for the mental health professionals to consider and beyond the scope of our simple forum.

Fantastic answer (must make you feel fabulous about yourself - especially as you don't deny your hatred for your fellow man and your country).

So, if your country's woes could be SOLVED by five years of doubling your taxes, would you accept this course of action?

Yep, straight from the conservopropertarian handbook.

Admit nothing.

The answer you are trying not to say is "of course not". You don't care about anything (or anyone) else but yourself and your money.

I bet you have to even fake affection to anything but your possessions.

Wyatt... Google the story. Everything is circular! each new story quoting the same source, that was itself based on speculation. The power of the internet, a Google Bomb, and it blew up all over you!

Just like Obama did when taking over for Bushy Boy....

Quote: "Attorney General Eric Holder's assertion Wednesday that America is "essentially a nation of cowards" when talking about race has ignited fires across conservative America.

During a Black History Month speech, Holder said America must confront race relations head on or risk further polarization.

"Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards,'' Holder said at the Justice Department. "It is an issue we have never been at ease with and given our nation's history this is in some ways understandable."
"

Quote: "So leave it to President Obama to set another low in presidential standards. Here was Obama, speaking at a Chicago fundraiser:

“They haven’t come out with a single solitary idea that is different from the policies that held sway for eight years before Democrats took over, not a single policy difference that’s discernable from George W. Bush. Not one. They’re betting that you just forgot about the eight years that they were in charge of Washington. They’re betting that you didn’t notice that the recession started under their watch and the deficit started under their watch.”

It’s sad enough that Obama can’t even get simple math and recent history straight in his head. After all, this is a Congressional election, and his own party reclaimed Congress in 2006 under Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid – two years before the 2008 recession started. Moreover, the budget surpluses that he referenced didn’t arrive until 1998, four years after the Republicans reclaimed Congress in 1994.

Of course, this is the same Obama who spoke of traveling to “57 states” after a pause for thought, so perhaps he and his teleprompter just need some quality time with daughter Sasha’s math and history tutors.

What makes it possible is they have already delisted the stock so just writing off the $800 billion just goes straight to new debt which the Administration does not care about anyway. The stock is worthless now so investors are no worse off. A Campaign can deal with the people who get upset with having done the right thing.

The worst part that will get the hackles and the press from the Republicans would be the easing of the credit rules and standards, that is just kicking off a new bubble to burst later. That would be much harder to PR against.

The problem Obama has is that the voters and people are tuned into debt and what Obama is doing and he may not be able to pull it off when he could have 12 months ago. Using it as a October surprise could back fire on the blue dogs.

The Dems are desperate, and panicky, looking for anything they can claim as a victory. More stimulus? Why not- the last one worked so marvelously. Thomas Sowell has a good piece in today’s Examiner, saying Obie continues to try and pin the economic mess on Bush, even though Dems have controlled both houses of Congress for the last 4 years. And Senator Obie voted in favor of every spending bill he saw, BTW. Now, with Obie, Pelosi and Reid in full control, the national debt is growing faster, and by 2012, the national debt will be larger than national output (you read that correctly- debt greater than output). Meanwhile, Fannie and Freddie were given the biggest bailout of all- $400B and no limit on future bailouts (oh, and it was done on Christmas Eve last year- how transparent, eh?). Why are Fannie and Freddie untouched? As Sowell says, “Because they allow politicians to direct vast sums of money where it will do politicians the most good, either personally or in terms of buying votes for the next election.”
As they become more and more desperate as November approaches, the possibility of another hail-Mary pass by the Dems to buy more votes increases, so stay alert.

Don, I saw Reid is seriously in trouble by a dullard being supported by Palin too. What does that say? In my book it says Americans are tired of the BS.

Sep 08, 2010 14:09:31

The GOP establishment's support for Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle has begun to dwindle since the controversial Tea Party-backed candidate began campaigning on an unconventional set of values and policies. Perhaps more damaging than Angle's lack of support from many within the Nevada GOP has been the fact that many of the state's most influential Republicans have endorsed her opponent, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Last week, Dawn Gibbons, former First Lady of Nevada, said that she would support Reid because of Angle's "extreme" stances on education. Gibbons was not the first to flee the rank-and-file, however. Other Republicans have cited Harry Reid's ability to bring funding to the state, as well as his leadership role which would be lost should a freshman Senator take his place. Reid lists over 130 Republican supporters on his website.

Joe... you're not suggesting that Boss Chuck's post about Harry Reid might be like so many of his posts... a totally misinformed fabrication of right wing BS?

I think the only part he got right was that Palin is supporting a dullard, but then that's not at all surprising!

I am looking forward to the second Democrat Senate leader being defeated in his own State based on his having to support a party that is so far out of touch with the home State. I am wondering who they will put up next. If I was a Senator in line I better be a Senator from a very liberal progressive North Eastern State like Mass. or Vermont. Everyone else is dead meat. Maybe it will be John Kerry.

Boss Chuck... where's Boss Chuck? Someone just called me ignorant!!! Oh, it's you Boss Chuck! You know they might take away your badge if you keep Breakin the Law!

Reid id in a fight, but it looks like the Republican part is shying away from Angle. I think it might be another difference between conservatives and Liberals. Conservative political leadership wants Republicans who fly in formation on Party policy. Liberals are used to herding cats!
