I have just installed a set of "Minator" alloy wheels on my '72 B Does anyone out there know what the lug nuts should be torqued at?
Thanks for you help.

I thought the torque was based on the fasteners (studs and lugnut) not the material being held (wheel).

I torque my RO and LE the same. Might be wrong, but have not had any wheel fall off yet!!!

Paul you're right torque is based on stud size, not wheel material. Richard on the MGB you have a 1/2" stud, I would torque to 60 ft pounds.

I've always used 60 pounds on my Minators. I like to start at around 40 and sneak up on it.

Thanks for your assistance. I torqued mine to 50 ft. lb., but will bump it up to 60.
I was more concerned about deforming the aluminum.
Rick
