Well I started on Dec. 2 '09 on my Nissan KA24E engine and tranny swap into my 1970 MGB GT. And it looks like it will be done soon. It has been a lot of work, more then I'd planned on, but I guess in the back of my mind I knew it wouldn't be a cake walk. Heres a couple of pics of the new engine installed.

Wow! Neat. I istalled a KA24de in a Datsun 510 and it was quite a project. I cant imagine switching brands like that.
Dave,
Haven't heard from you.Whatever happened to the GT that your
uncle bought here?

Looking good David --be interested to hear how it is once you get it sorted on the road --Im sure it will be a joy to drive --
I finally finished up all the ECU wiring. I soldered every connection and used shrink tubing just to be safe. I added a 240sx fuse/relay box. Day before yesterday I fired her up (without the exhaust header...it was real loud) and she ran and idled right off the bat. So, I wired in my MSD 6a that I had on the lump. With the MSD my tach began working (it is a late model "B"tach plugged into the tach out on the 6a ).
Once I get the header pieces back from the mandrel guy I can give it to my buddy who's cousin is going to weld all the header bits together. And THEN I can take her out for a spin & find out what else needs attention. I'm getting a little excited as the finish grows nearer ....or maybe its anxiety from wondering if everything is going to work properly.
