It sound like the car is in Belize so you can't check it to see. I can say that my 78 has 2 wide and one narrow.
If You are not going for originality,try this website.

My particular '78 has 1 Wide and 2 Narrow. They went to 2 Wide and 1 Narrow in '79, I have one of those too.
I did, However put the '79 alternator on my '78 by narrowing one of the wide terminals.
Hey guys thanks for the prompt response
John I was at advance auto parts when i got your response which saved me...ended up getting the one you said for earlier models
also stocked up on
* starter
* distributor caps
* spark plugs
* spark plug wires
* brakes n shoes
* horn
and all for a pretty penny...so far I've spent about $2,000 on car parts...and that includes a chrome conversion kit, wooden steering wheel, brake lines etc...all this stuff in Belize, if available would have ran me about $5,000
thanks guys

Wish I was going down there with you Ajay. A friend of mine once had some property down there that I should have bought from him when he sold it 10 or 15 years ago. You know the laws about foreign property owners and he couldn't get there often enough to comply. Back then I could have bought a good used stake bed truck, loaded it with good used outboard motors, sold it down there, and have enough money to put a nice little house on the land.
Enjoy your perpetual Summer and balmy breezes and remind Mr. Hotchandani to behave himself around the ladies.
