I have no idea what the alternator mounting set up looks like. I have looked in all my books and there are no pictures. I know I have the mounting but I don't know what I'm looking for. Does anyone have a picture close up so I can get an idea of what I'm looking for in my messy garage?

The picture you show is a dynamo (Generator) not an alternator.
This is the alternator.

This is the dynamo.

You just need the bracket at the rear. 2 bolts to the engine block above the oil filter housing, and 1 bolt to the dynamo
at rear and 1 bolt at the front.
