Had to replace alternator and plug setup is different so I got the plug kit -directions call for only two wires on three plugs??!! but my old plug had three wires attached I am a little confused. Anyone?

The big brown wire and the smaller brown one are connected to the battery + teminal at the starter solenoyed and can be put together on one of the two big spade terminals (who are connected inside the alternator.
The brown/yellow one is needed to start the alternator charging and is connected to the small spade terminal on Lucas alternators.
