Roland Burris. What a schlepping liar this guy is. After having almost forcedly, installing himself into the seat vacated by president Obama and swearing that he never had any contacts with the BJ-ovitch party it now comes out that he was in fact solicited by BJ's brother for ten large for a campaign contribution. NOW, Burris is saying "oh yes, I was approached ..... blah, blah, blah..." Isn't it ironic that after swearing under oath to the Senate Committee and signing a sworn statement to the effect that he was 'clean' of these conditions, that when BJ's brother comes forward and spills his guts that Burris, who is already sworn in, conveniently remembers the event and is now issuing a full statement "for full transparency" (his words) What a crock of shit that is. He is another Cook County fox in the henhouse. The charades continue in Illinois politics. Appointed governor Quinn will be the next target most likely.

Sounds like he was the perfect man for the job. Surely you don't expect ethics and honesty to be requirements? If so there would be no one in office

I'm still supporting the formation of the separate states....the State of Illinois and the State of Chicago.

Maybe the State Capital/Governor's House for the State of Chicago can be located at Statesville Prison.

He is well aware that he will get a pass for lying and not divulging the connections. He has nothing to worry about in the present system. It will be interesting if the Chicago voters hold him accountable in 2010. The Senate will do nothing.

Interestingly...almost all of the corruption cases reported in the last several years have been related to democrat/liberal politicians.

Wasn't this going to be the party of ethical conduct????

I doubt that is true, on either count. What one remembers is dependent on who's side is being caught. We all have selective memories
