Hi Everyone,
Yesterday I bought myself a multi-purpose tool that came with a stack of brushes (soft and hard nylon and brass) a couple of polishing tools and a small sanding disk (both the wife and I can use it for several hobbies). Today I thought I'd try it out on one job I had in mind - polishing the lens from the MG. The first one I grabbed was the reverse light which I had, uptil now, belived to have gone milky with age. They are also cracked and will be replaced but figured it was a good one to experiment with.
After several application of polish and the roatating brush the lens had a nice gleam but was still milky so I tried on the other side. Again nice shine but milky. AT this point I looked close and realised (Im abit slow sometimes) that the white wasnt milky plastic but the DPO had, for some unknown reason, painted the inside with white paint.
Oh by the way the tool not only rotates but will reciprocate too..

SImon, I dropped the starter today to make it easier to change the clutch hose and I found a Lug nut being used as the washer/spacer on the bottom bolt. I'm off to find a new bolt

My DPO used a garden hose as a seal between the radiator support and the hood. Actually rather creative and easy to reverse.
