MGB: Another Sarah Slam

Sarah Palin is invited to meet with the Pope while he is vacationing south of Rome in Venice.

The liberal press reluctantly watches the semi-private audience, hoping they will be able to allot minimal coverage, if any.

The Pope asks Governor Palin to join him on a Gondola ride through the canals of Venice.

They're admiring the sights and agreeing on moral issues when all of a sudden the Pope's hat (zucchetto) blows off his head and out into the water.

The gondolier starts to reach for the Pontiff's hat with his pole, but this move threatens to overturn the floating craft.

Sarah waves the tour guide off, saying, 'Wait, wait. I'll take care of this. Don't worry.'

She steps off the gondola onto the surface of the water and walks out to the Pope's hat, bends over and picks it up. She walks back across the water to the gondola and steps aboard.

She hands the hat to the Pope amid stunned silence.

The next morning the topic of conversation among Democrats in Congress, CBS News, NBC News, ABC News, CNN, the New York Times, Hollywood celebrities, and in France and Germany is...

...'Palin Can't Swim.'

No numbnuts , thats what the media would put as its headlines . If there are people gullible , no , stupid , enough to vote for obama , i'm sure they will vote for anybody.

ONly as you insist on looking at the world the wrong way up. I have seen the photos from space ans Australia is realy at the top of the world, not the bottom..

2008? try 2004. If you want to insult one of the most valuable members of this forum, try to be a bit more accurate.

Number one, Venice is East of Rome, not south. However, Venice, CA is South of Rome, NY. Not that this matters in a story like this.

No....we led the way in waking up to what these neocon fools were doing and voted our conservative nitwit out last year in a landslide(where he even lost his own seat)....even after your beloved George W visiting "Austria for the "OPEC conference"as he called it at the press conference for the APEC conference gave him a ringing endorsement therefore breaking the unsaid rule of other governments NOT interfering in another countries election...as it turned his "endorsement" was the final nail in the coffin....
and sorry 2008 was OBVIOUSLY a typo...you knew it was 2004....most valuable members...is that a self annointed title?...for anyone I insulted I'd say the same amount gave it the thumbs up...and do the insult start with "numbnuts"....BTW I'm not getting heated, I find this extremely hilarious as the same stuff happened here last year as the end was nigh and the conservaties were getting just as rude in their final desperation

BTW I'd Aussies (and the rest of the world for that matter) know more about US politics than most US people would know (or care) about ours... your political system does actually (and unfortunately) affect things globally and is very closely watched....our news has an international section larger than the local hog race report

Aussie zb, if the Neo Cons have fouled it up do you have a plan for the mideast in general terms. If you are not a neo con are you a realist?

I am just interested in where you start to deviate from Bush. Would you go back to where we were in 1999 and re-establish the middle east as it was then or would you want to go back where there was a true balance of power in the world. Everything balanced and comfortable.
