I love 60's and 70's Ford trucks. My dad had an old 1977 and I swore if I could ever afford another project I would pick one up. The PNW seems to have quite a few in amazing condition. Great truck Doug...very sharp!

This is Goldie, still wearing her original paint and at about 105,000 miles now.

Those trucks aren't old, or maybe it's just me. Now, show some photographs of '40s and '50s trucks, and I might start to feel differently.

1964 Ford F250 Camper Special I plan on restoring just as I finish with the B. The Ford is in excellent running condition, just needs sanding and painting, a new windshield, and some interior work. It belonged to my brother who purchased it off the original owner back in the 80's. I got it from my brother.

It doesn't seem that long ago that these trucks were new.I find it kind of funny
when someone tells me that they have an old truck - "it's a '96 Ford".
Mine has original paint too.

Kind of reminds me what the "Good old days" were like - NO a/c,
power steering,power brakes,or steering lock.Mine has a 360,drum brakes,
AM radio. The interior is also original.

Tell you what, though, for hauling trailers around, the disc brakes on my C/S are pretty nice, as is the power steering and brakes. I do a lot of trailer stuff with it and it's pretty well up to the task. A friend with a '71 and drums has had a few interesting moments at the bottom of some of the long grades around here, fully loaded.

A friend has a very nice 77 (Ithink) in the mid-Atlantic region. Green/White 360auto, shortbed. He knows what it's worth but if anyone's interested I'll pass along the info

Yeah, same here. Long time ago...1956 F-100, painted Grabber Green with a 289 Mustang engine. I have been watching e-bay and CL, and I may just swerve from my LBC addiction on my next project...

I currently have a 1985 Ford PU for a "farm truck" and my work vehicle is a '03 F-150 Flareside short bed that reminds me of my ol '56. Revved up 4.6L that is at ~300 hp. Keeping it for the long run and hoping I can find a used Cobra engine when it wears out. Hope I dont wear out first...

John L.

PS - love this post! Nothin better than MGs and old PU trucks.
