Hi all,
I'm still looking for a '67 B-GT but no luck here in Arizona so far. Does anyone know this vehicle?

Pictures are nice....until that last one.

The last picture tells the whole story - RUST. I believe you should continue to look for a "southern" car. They are out there. Just be patient and your patience will be rewarded.
Well, not sure what the reserve is,but with THAT ammount of rust, I expect you won't get more than another 10-15 years service before you had to do something about it! Have to give the seller credit for doing an honest pictorial. He could have stopped with some of the other undercar footage that shows the car tobe pretty solid.
Car looks pretty good to me.

What? That's a nice looking undercarriage. You must have really high standards.
If the reserve price isn't too high, I'd say bid on it. The pics don't show a TON of rust. I'm not a fan of the gt,if it was a roadster I'd bid on it
See now, I would look at this in a totally different light.
This seller could have gotten away with showing this car in a dishonest way, he didn't have to show that rust, he could have completely left it out, not even mentioned it, and STILL been honest.
But, he didn't! What that usually shows is that you have an honest seller. On eBay, that's pretty rare.
I'd investigate this one further. The repairs look to be done fairly well.
It might need some floors, but, that's definitely not the end of the world.
It all depends on what you can pick it up for.

That picture doesn't really bother me, but I know I'd want to do an in-person inspection or have someone I trust do it for me. Who knows what you CAN'T see.
If I was buying a GT, that amount of rust would not scare me off a bit.
I've kind of been watching that one. Of course there is no substitute for having some one look at it, but if magnets stick and an inspection doesn't show anything worse than the pics, then I'd say it looks decent. I've been looking at cars here in Michigan, and I'd be pleased to see a GT like this one. Any bets on what it goes for?
Steve
That rust is just from wet feet, and pretty minimal, easy fix. Looks overall to be a very solid car to me (but nothing replaces a personal inspection). You dry weather guys are spoiled buy the lack of rust you see.
I'm firmly in the 'it looks good' camp. No rust worth worrying about there.
The wing seams are none existant and bubbling badly on the right, can't tell about left. Bondo supreme + new paint
This is about the 5th time this car has been listed at Ebay, and have it saved in Watch List from a few auctions ago. This car has been sold a number of times, then it shows back up a week or so later.
Seller mentioned on one of the earlier listing that his reserve was $4700. Saw it get up to about $4500 and the "reserve not met" gone. Thought it had sold but was newly listed again the next day???
I always wonder about the car that are re listed several times. Does the seller keep the deposit and say "yeah
its a pos and you don't have to buy it."
Pretty, but pretty can be dangerous just like a woman. I was given good advice here - keep your B original "if" you plan on selling it - that way - the new prospective buyer can see what there absolutely is...to see; versus rust, damage, issues, covered up by paint or poor mechanical bandaids that you'll have to uncover later. Case in point, my new/old 77 B Roadster - all original (except Weber) carb. Original owner, original White paint, seats, carpets, engine, OD gearbox everything. They didn't even bother to clean the 20+ dirt off the trunk surface floor, (I did last night) and she cleaned up nice. The only thing missing is the boot rack - but the holes remain. I even found a second set of keys when I removed the map holder on the inside of the passenger foot well. Even the battery cage is sound.
That car has been re-sold too many times -- looks too good to be true - as it usually is, (in life) and in cars.
Wait...wait...the right car will come along and it'll need some sprucing up - and some major TLC. Just get a car without rust, (like I did), literally - no holes in floor, sills, fenders, trunk -- and never been in an accident evident by straight frame horns, and clean weld seams in trunk and straight lines as doors close to body -- solid to the bone. That car was repainted sloppily too - the overspray is along the undercarriage and it isn't too old either.
Pass on it - although - certainly it is tempting, exactly as the seller intends.
Though if you personally email him say you'd pay $1200 for it - and have him take it off Ebay, then sure. Do it for $1200.
For the guy in Arizona, I believe this car would be of interest to me if I was in your neck of the woods or should I say desert area.

The bondo over the top of the front fenders (where there should be a seam w/ welting) would be a deal killer for me.
Thanks All!
Like they always say....too good to be true....and too far away....keep looking!
