A few days ago there was a thread about a 4 story barn full of MG parts. Does anyone know what happened to that thread?
His website is http://foreignpartsbarn.com/index.html

The guy never responded to me about the list of parts I needed.
I emailed him about a dash, he got back to me a few days later. He did not have what I needed.

Ditto. I saw in one of the pictures that he might have some seats for my 1963 Iris Blue MGB. Dark blue with Light blue piping. Even if really worn or slightly ripped, I might be able to coax them back to life and put them in my car. Mine are schredded. Other that the seats and carpet, the interior on my car is remarlkably original and in excellent shape. To put new seats in there would look odd to me and I'd rather some wear. I don't even need the cusions or frames and figured with carefull handing and a flat box, he might want to ship them to me. I just asked to be carefull looking and working with them because the leather will be really brittle and the color might be black. Black with Light blue piping was also an option.
I've heard nothing and I really want those covers if he has them.
I asked him about some common body parts but he didn't have those either. Hmmmmmmmmmmm
I emailed him,
he called me and said he had parts. I told him I wanted them, he called back an hour later saying he didnt have the parts. I called again a week later, did a bunch of asking for this and that, and despite the parts I need being in the pics by the dozens, he said he didn't have them...
Not sure why but seems like a game.
It's no game folks.
I dropped my GT off at Carriage Craft in Reading yesterday to have some work done. Mike (Bill Shield's son) works in the shop as well.
I have been in the barn and it is packed floor to ceiling (all 4 floors) with LBC parts. Keep in mind that the parts barn and Carriage Craft are not one in the same. I told Mike yesterday that he really should try to reply in a more timely manner to the MGE crowd and he agreed. Probably what he should have done before mounting the website would be to take an inventory and have a list of items available. (although that would take a long time)
I would suggest that anyone on this forum in the Philadephia region (Montgomery, Berks, Bucks counties) try to set up a day for a barn visit, take notes and pics and relay back to the rest of the forum. It is overwhelming how much stuff is in there and the PMs and emails are overwhelming Mike at the moment.
I have no affiliation with this effort as I'm just a customer of Bill Shields, but I didn't want you guys to think this is a scam in any way.
Well I hope once settled in and he's in a groove, he can contact us. I could use the seats before there is a potential that they are tossed for someone just needing the frames.

Hi sorry for the lack of response to recent inquiries. Due to 2 jobs plus the holidays, the parts barn had to hit the back burner for a short period. We will be back in mid January, so please wiat until then to request anything. We are sorry for any inconvience this has caused anyone. Please send me any hate mail if you must, but this is a side thing and not a business, the 9-5 takes priority. :)

O and McCurdie thanks for the back up, on all this. Its not a game, and we have toooooo much stuff, but I work @ dads resto shop 40hrs (I did the cylinder head job on McCurdie's BGT) and run my own business fixing modern cars @ night. I got swamped shortly after starting the website and havent had a moment to myself since. We are shooting for about mid january to start back up on the used parts stuff again. And hopefully by that time there will be a website for Carriage Craft again, we're pondering that idea too!
Thank you

Early on I got a timely response (unfortunately it was to say there wasn't what I needed) and Bill McCurdie is a stand up guy, so if he says all is well, all is well.
