Do you cut the wire access holes and drain holes and then fish the wires in...can't seem to get the boxes and wires in at the same time? Any advice appreciated! Bob Decker, Mesa AZ.Is there a trick to this?

That is how I did mine. I just used an exacto knife for the cables and a 1/4 inch drill bit for drain holes on the battery bin. The other bin has no holes in it and I use it for storage. I put 4 holes in the battery bin for drain, just in case it was needed.
Yes, I approximated where the cables would come through and then I exacto'd and dremel'd the holes smooth before fishing the cables through with some string. Easy breezy.
I agree with the others here. When I installed mine, I pre-drilled the holes, and then snaked the wires in. I made the cable holes big enough for grommets, just to clean things up, and to keep the wire from chafing (not that I can see it moving around much).
The hole in the bottom I just left open.
I am running two 6V batteries--So, I cut up a small rectangular opening near the top front of each of the boxes, and large enough to fit two cables confortably, and then re-routed the cables afterwards.
I used a Dremmel tool with a cutting bit. I think it was a drywall cutting bit. Its like a small drill bit but cuts sideways with a very clean and neat cut.
