The other day Chuck Schumer exhibited what might have been the most blatant expression of the attitudes of both the Left and the Right toward "us common folk" that I have ever witnessed.

What he actually said to the reporters about the common man not giving a damn about pork was obviously bordering on the insane, but what got to me was how he said it.

His tone of voice and his actually looking down to these guys and his gestures told a deeper tale.

He represented all that is wrong with government as it stands for us today. Left and right they have developed this feeling that they are above us and that we are in fact their cattle. From the money men on the right to the power and social insanities on the left they are all disgusting in their contempt for you and for me.

Schumer spoke as if he was trying to explain simple arithmetic to a demented two year old. His gestures looked as if he had to draw a picture of what he was saying with a crayon. His incredibly snide and superior smile was ever more obvious as he spoke.

I am praying that the middle guys, like most of use here, will not only get their gut full of this BS but will also find some gonads somewhere in the closet and tell them to get the Hell out of our faces.

Blood, famine, lose of loved ones, cold winters, reduced potato chip intake or what ever it takes to bring honor and self respect back into our hearts will have to be spread n the table.

Yeah, and he's been taller for way more than 4 hours so he's really got a problem.

The bad news is, you know how that fix that 4-hour problem? Think needles and syringes!

Youch......

Don't know anybody who has been through that, but I had to ask my family Dr. just to know.

I agree 100%... does not matter what side you fall on, the people in power have let that power go to their heads. You see it every day now. And its getting worse before our eyes. What ever happened with the concept that they work for US??

The answer is of course to pull ALL of the perks and limit terms. Eliminate the input from the federal government and make the states pay and comfort the servants according to their performance and the appreciation of the folks in the state.

That isn't going to happen simply because it would be those same folks who would have to change the law.

The idea that they would have to actually be productive and that they could enjoy no more and no less in the way of comforts and idolization than the guy on the Caterpillar line would be abhorrent.

We will always be subject to the rule and control of those who can afford to use their time in public service rather than actually digging ditches or managing a warehouse, but if we were to make public service an "honorable" endeavour rather than a pathway to an ever increasing fortune and an unending sexual fantasy it might be a little more attractive to the folks who actually had some soul left in them.

Thirty mile an hour wind coming in from the east folks. I think I'll pee in that direction and see what happens.

Swimmin' upstream takes more strength than 'goin' with the flow.

A NOTE: I remember when Nikita Kruschev of Russia took off his shoe and pounded the desk at the UN and shouted to America, “We will take over America from WITHIN!!!” And they are!!!!

A Page From History

Norman Mattoon Thomas (November 20, 1884 to December 19,
1968) was a leading American socialist, pacifist, and six-time presidential candidate
for the Socialist Party of America. The Socialist Party candidate for President of the U.S., Norman
Thomas, said this in a 1944 speech: "The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But,
under the name of "liberalism," they will adopt every fragment of
the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist
nation, without knowing how it happened."

He went on to say: "I no longer need to run as a Presidential
Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democrat Party has adopted
our platform."

"The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of
other people's money."
~~Margaret Thatcher~~
