Hi
Time to get back to work on the car, haven't done much the past weekand a half so it's time to get busy springs a coming. Just a little history, I bought her about 24 years ago with the help of a good freinds father. A 72 in good shape but the white paint was scratched and dinged. I could't afford to paint her then so about 10 spray bombs of grey primer and the land shark was born. I have to thank Scott for that nickname. Drove the wheels off till about 135K then the motor started loosing power so rebuid time. After that drove some more then had to paint her. Took it all apart except for pulling the motor and trans then made her white again, painted outside under a carport in the middle of the summer with lacquer, good ol days of high VOC's
Put everything back together and I think I got to drive it about a month and a half before a boy at work backed the co van into the side of her @#$%^&
That took all the wind from my sails quick. Just drove her for the next years, didn't even fix the damage I figured what the hell some other *** would probally hit it again! Fast foward a few more years and what the hey it's time to do it again, the first time basically saved the car this time it was time to fix all the rust right, So sit right back and I'll share my tale, a tale of a fatefull trip, sorry couldn't help that.
here are a couple of shots early on with the two Jeff's and me ,and after the wreck. Bonus points for anyone who can identify the B off to the right, hint it ain"t green now!

Hey - Forrest Gump quit running long enough to get in the picture!!
Great Picture!!! When I look at it, I think of the movie Deliverance for some reason!
That is sure one BIG antennea on the Healy!!!!
Good eye, you would be correct pic taken around 86 or 87
Bill
I think the Healy owner was trying to compensate for lack of horsepower !

Wow Bill, I had brown hair then. Twenty years sure went by quick. That gut was pure Budweiser. Should have asked if they could tell what caliber hand gun each of us was carrying! My wife made me save the photo to my HD. I forgot you had some of those. You forgot to tell them I helped you paint your car outside under the carport that summer. Lot of sanding and painting. Jeff
Yeah Paul, used to call it the green bean, another nickname from Scott. He ran HP Imports at that time. Kinda looks like an old shop in the back alleys of England. Jeff
It was the 70's. CB's were cool back then. I'm picturing dukes of hazard in a healy right now.
Wait till she see's the other ones, we were both skinny from sanding in the
90 degree 95 percent humidity then. I'll never forget hard we worked that summer I even think we painted the building too, and I've allways appreciated all your help and have allways tried to give back. Wev'e kept these cars runnung for some time now.

Which one of these ruffians is Jeff the ultimate B owner?
