I'm sure you guys are bored with this one, but please humour a newcomer!
I have some very small (1/2") paint blisters on my otherwise nice bodywork. What do you recommend to remedy?
Should I get a paintshop to do it, or try (panic) myself?

Blisters in paint usually are the first stage of rust under the paint. The only way to know is to sant to metal. If it,s not rusted through, you may be able to grined it out. If it,s rusted through you will have to cut it out. RUST NEVER SLEEPS!!!!

Toms right, rust never sleeps. Take it to your local "panel beater" and see if he can fix the one panel. He'll at least know how bad it is, sometimes you just see the 'tip of the iceberg', and there is more rust in not so obvious places. In a damp climate "B"s are infamous for this.

It's probably rust, but it might be just an awful repaint. Choose a blister in an inconspicuous spot and scrape it off. If it's rust then definitely let a body shop fix it. If all you need is a spray you can try, but it would be better to learn painting on a Chevy Vega or Renault Dauphine.
