oh, no , not mine either. but its done, and now i may enjoy. i wasnt thinking about the time at all, till i was done.
I never put a time on or check how long it takes to do any automotive work. Do that only when working as a professional on commission and you have to eat your mistakes. How fast it's done isn't part of a hobby, only how right it's done.
If the metal backing of the brake pad got into the rotor you did that job 'way too fast anyway. No time to turn, (resurface) the rotor and the job isn't finished until it is.
nah, they were just really close.
again, i just noticed the time when i got done, thats all.
by the way. is there a standard break-in procedure?
'
they are not yet squealing, but the last ones did for a month, then it went away... dont like that.
With rotors being one of the cheapest things I can buy for a B why would you turn them unless running the drilled and slotted ones ?
Did you measure rotors to make sure they aren't too thin? Did you inspect the bearings?
both the rotors and bearings are new. the rotors were new with the last set of pads, and a bearing went sometime in november, so they are new-ish. i did check the grease and how the hub spins- all is well.
