So I was looking for the date again for the British Invasion event up in Stowe, VT. Looks like it is 9/17 through 9/19. I could go up for the car show day of 9/18, but may not stay till 9/19. Would be difficult getting up there for 9/16 for the pre-show festivities due to work unfortunately.

Anyway, as I was looking through to see about pre-registration, I saw that you had to mail in your registration by 9/5. Looks like I am two days late.

Here is a quote from the registration PDF... "Field opens at 8:30 am. This is a Pre-Registered ONLY show. You may register by mail before September 5th, or on Friday, September 17th between 12:00 Noon and 6:00PM at the “Stowe Special Events Field”. ONLY pre-registered cars will be allowed to enter the show field on Saturday, September 18th. Judging of the British Classic Motorcar Show will be by the vote of the Registrants (People’s Choice). In addition to Class Awards, “Special Awards” may be presented by Sponsors and the Executive Committee."

That to me sounds like I could still potentially register on Friday between noon and 6. Does this sound like I am interpreting it correctly to all of you?

Sorry that this is probably the wrong forum. I would have tossed it in OT, but that says it's for non-MG items.

This may be a sign. 229 miles each way, leaving extremely early Saturday morning, a car that has only been reliable this year for the first time in 13 years... maybe I should just keep the meets to < 100 miles.

Jeff,

It's a great show but I think you are going to be pushing it to try to make it up there for
the pre registration on Friday before 6PM. If you can't get pre registered you would not be
allowed on the show field with the car. It's too bad because I think you would enjoy the show.
We usually allow 2 days for driving up and 2 days for driving back home. (It's about 350 miles
each way for us.) We leave on Thursday AM and drive to Lake Placid for the night and then on to
Stowe the following (Fri) morning. But we do stop for our pre lunch desert at Ben and Jerry's.
If by any chance you do get there look me up I'll have my B there again. Other than the past
two years when my wife could not travel (health issues) we've been to every one of the shows
and always in our B.

last year they "misplaced" my registration. i parked in the field next door among a number of Bs that were not on the show field, and there were a ton of non brit metal that was very cool in that lot.

Go, enjoy the show, just don't enter your car.

I would send an email to Mike Gaetano and see if he can help you out.

I have a professional commitment this year on Saturday and have cancelled our reservations I have still kept our registration intact as I may do a quick day run with the GT on Friday just to get a taste of the day and see a few vendors.
