and chipped reverse.....tranny full o-junk....but "not bad at all".
That made my day! My little B is getting the treatment of a lifetime from a master.
Thanks Steve and Ken L. for referring me to George!
Hopefully I'll get her back before he leaves for the Oregon MG meeting.
Has a lot of beautiful MG's there....anyone on this board own the newly painted BRG hiding out in there? Gorgeous!!
Makes me VERY embarrased to bring my rattyassed B into that shop. Anyone else cringe when someone looks under the bonnet?

If it's a stright 4-speed, used ones are cheap. Chris, Tony, even Chuck may have a good one one.
George says it's not bad and that I don't need to change the gear unless I really want to. So that's all I need to hear! I just wanted to post because I was happy!!
Incidentally -- the car is in the shop for a tranny rebuild and misc. odds and ends.
Good deal! Usually when they finally let go they go out to lunch whole hog and are trash. You lucked out.
u sure there aren't little metal pieces floating around in there? i agree with what jdw said as usual, A)they are easy to come by and B)you're lucky that it's still something drivable (i'd be driving it too)
Phil, I was at George's shop yesterday, looking at that green B. Turns out it's getting (besides a total restoration) a supercharger kit (Moss) installed. Wish I had that kind of bucks!!
Man I cringe every time I look under the hood. I think my gt springs a leak every time I open the little guy up.
I don't think that BRG belongs to anyone on the board. I met the couple once. They brought the car in, not bad shape, but not great and said "here, take this MG and my wallet and make it a great car."
One day the wife was purusing through fabric books picking out the interior the same way someone was picking out drapes for their home.
Supercharger Ken??????? Wow! I'm going to have to go out there more often and watch the progress.
