I am assembling the dash on the bugeye. There is a substantial hole right in the middle of the dash. The key switch that came in this car is not correct for a bugeye. Any idea of what size the hole is for the proper switch?

Ray:
Then I might be OK. If this hole is too big, then I will have to strip the newly recovered dash and weld the hole up.
Now if I can just find the correct ignition switch.

Yup, it's a big hole as the ignition switch is also incorporated in the headlight switch.

And about as common as rocking horse poop I am discovering!

Pete, Moss and VB have them--pricey!! And you have to have a knob AND a key cylinder. Wow, Moss' price for all three parts is almost $90 US plus shipping and taxes. I have an extra (less the knob and cylinder which I don't have) except I will not be reunited with my car and parts until Christmas.
