I've used Armorall and also the same stuff I use on the tires. I put on several coats and buff it when dry. It usually last for several weeks.
"Oiley" isn't the way I'd want my bumpers to look! :) Shiny is nice.
If yours are faded, try some Back to Black or is get really serious, paint them with a paint specially formulated to adhere to rubber. Or just polish them with some kind of rubber/vinyl polish, though it won't last long.
Mother's "Back to Black" is wonderful stuff..............
If that fails, the September issue of "Classic Motorsports" has a great article on this subject

I use Kiwi black shoe polish.
I shot mine with duplicolor flexible bumper paint in the rattle cans, after following the restoration instructions in the library. They look great, and have stayed that way without needing anything wiped on.
Kind of a nice satin black. Not oily, but they do look great.

I got rid of my black!
Larry,
I usually like the black, but that looks really nice! Nice job!

If I may offer a word of advice; stay away from products like "Armorall" or STP's "Son-of-a-Gun" (if that's still around) for cleaning vinyl, leather or plastic.
I had some repairs done to my dash top a few years ago and the guy who fixed it says these products contain silicone and actually dry up the material faster. Sure, they look good for a while but you'll find yourself applying it frequently.
A better product he recommended is "303 Protectant". http://www.303products.com/
Great product. I've used it on all my cars.
Larry!!!
That looks great!

I made a few mods and now my RBB car bumpers shine like chrome. They are.
Afrosheen!
Nah, just kidding. There's an article in THIS MONTH's Hemming's Sports and Exotic Car.
They clean them with PrepSol and then paint them with some bumper paint. Get that issue. They did it to the MGB that they're giving away for "Good News Garage"
They looked good.!
Of course, you could do away with them and get a chrome bumper conversion and then use Mother's Chrome Polish! hahahaha couldn;t resist!

Emmett, I've used Back to Black, but it doesn't last very long - lately I've been using Turtle Wax Ice- it makes them shine, and really lasts. You can get it at Walmart.

I did a search on 303 Protectant and found this sample offer. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the advice.
