Joe, Bush was an honest man, as was Cheney.. I see nothing wrong with media plants, pushing an agenda, in this case favorable war reporting. Its not propaganda when we here in the US do it.. its only propaganda when other countries govts do this.. I dont know how to be anymore clear on this.

But to answer your question with a question, is there ever real news on FIXED News?

I am not sure what the investigation is about. There was a great deal of discussion about how they were going to handle the media and the news about the war. They knew they could not do what was done by FDR and Truman and Viet Nam did not work out so well. Calling it a propaganda exercise is a little far fetched and I would be surprised much comes of it. The books I have read about the war planning and build up were pretty clear in what they were going to do in so far as embedding the reporters and release of Administration positive news.

Not sure the big deal.

Richard, if Obama was planting talking heads in the media to push favorable views on the comatosed TV watchers, would it be propaganda? This is propaganda, pushing the states message through the use of essentially mouthpieces..

What is the difference with what Obama does every day with the media. Nothing new. That is why nothing will come of it. They did not hide what they were doing. It was a planned event. You could either read and listen who you wanted. I listened to the talking heads on Fox, CBS and CNN. I decided what I thought was real, you went to code pink, dailyKox and media matters. What was the difference.

How was it hidden if you can read it in the minutes of the meetings between the principles and staff all through the planning efforts. I just read about it in the books. I don't believe it was a hidden secret.
