So I looked under the rear deck carpet and saw only six snaps. Don't know if this is stock or not, but I know it isn't enough. I think I will go with JDW's suggestion of glue-on velcro.
The post about buzzers reminded me of this. I've gone a few blocks myself leaving the turn signal on (fortunately not a few MILES), and so I just started to glance at the stalk after a turn to see if it's off or not. Second nature now.
I was driving the B yesterday and I stopped behind a minivan at a light. There were two girls, about 6-8 years old, in the back. They were bouncing up and down and pointing and waving at me. I waved back. It amazes me that even at that young age they are attracted to the little car.

I get a lot of young (i.e. less than 10) kids pointing and looking at the car. Since it's so small, they probably think it's a toy car and they're telling their mom & dad that they want one!
Four snaps along the front edge and 1 in each back corner is puhlenty to hold that down. Why doesn't that seem like enough? I don't think I put mine in the stock place. I put the outside ones on the front in that little space just in front of the wheel well so it holds there then couple toward center, equidistant from each other and side of car.
ON a couple of cars, the four snaps up front were sufficient for me, but I have a battery box cover. :)
Gee, I've got just four snaps, and it holds just fine. What kind of weenie snaps are you using? But then again, the carpet piece I have is nice and thick, so that helps.
