MGB: Cape Girardeau sex ofender

The thread below reminded me of this.

About two weeks ago a guy broke into a local woman's home and raped her, he got away. Only five days later the same guy came back for seconds. He broke in the basement door, turned off the electricity, and started breaking through the inside basement door to the livin area. One big difference this time. On the other side of that door stood the same woman, but this time she was holding a borrowed shotgun. The instant the guy broke through and she saw him she opened up. She had called 911 while he was breaking into the basement and when th cops arrived he had made his way to her back yard but died 7 hours later. I thought it was great that the SOB had plenty of time to think about it before he croaked.

I wonder if those who post about not needing to protect oneself with a firearm can explain where she went wrong. She called 911, and the guy was shot and out of the house before police got there. The sad part is that she had to go through the attack the first time before she became armed.

Hopefully she had at least 1 pellet hit each nut. You are correct, it was appropriate that he live long enough to suffer a bit, and have some recollective thoughts.

Sounds like a perfectly appropriate shoot. The nice part is that he did not die quick :)

(I hope I do not offend, but I have been to too many violent crime scenes to have much sympathy for his kind).

This is why you should never outlaw guns, then only oulaws have guns. Hope the bastard was in pain until his last breath.

According to this news article, she'd never fired a shotgun before--good for her.

Although I'm right there will y'all saying it was good for that woman to stand up for herself. And I do mean that.
I can't help thinking that now she has to deal with both the fact that she was raped, and that now she has taken a life, justified as it was.
I hope she can get the help necessary to get through what must be a horrible experience.

I don't think taking that bastard of this planet is going to bother her one bit...

I hope not James. No question he deserved it, and the time to think about it.

You know... I'm not so sure about that. There's absolutely no question it was totally and completely justified, it's just that she (unlike him) is probably a decent, nice person. As such, it might bother her to take a life, even this scumbag.

I've never been a real big advocate of firearms etc., however in my mind the concealed weapon law is justifiable to me. It would seem to me that 'most' s**t-for-brains criminals would at least think once about doing bodily harm to another human being not knowing whether or not that other person was in fact carrying a loaded weapon. ..... SURPRISE MF! and BANG you're dead!

Isn't justifiable homicide a beautiful thing:)

My feelings exactly (except I don't have a problem with guns)!
