Neat quiz.
17/20 but so what? Most of the questions have almost nothing to do with real automotive knowlege. Most have more to do with how much attention people pay to TV commercials for cars.
An ASE test would be a better test of real automotive knowlege, and you'd probably do well on that Robert, if you aren't already ASE certified.
15/20, not bad given the US bias.
Chris
I was surprised I got 16 right. I hardly ever watch TV or see car ads. A lot of it must stem from really old sources.

18 out of 20 I agree mostly about advertizing. But that didn't come as a surprize.
11 out of 20 Oh, the shame!
15 out of 20 and don't care....except we have owned 2 Kia's and I blew that one.

I think that I missed one about one of the Asian cars.
Jack
I'll just take it again in summer school.
!6/20 - slogans and the Corolla question got me. I thought VW Beetle had outsold all - I should have known as the Corolla has been around about 40-50 years and sells well every year.

Thanks Rod but the fact is the quiz is scewed in favor of you coastal area dwellers. We farm boys only recognize the esstials...Ford, Chevy and Dodge pick ups...our rec vehicles, and our work vehicles John Deere, Case Holland, Minneapolis Moline, IH.
Rick Ingram is just bragging cause he got further than 13th grade....and my bet NEVER stacked a hay bale all his life....:I3:
;)
Hauling hay sucks... Did it for 2 cents a bale... was up to 4 cents per by the time I was out of high school... My hands hurt just thing about it... But I still love the smell of a hay barn..
did that hay thing one summer for some friends a few years back...afterwards I suggested they shoot all their animals.

In all honestly I only did it once and even in my youth would never do it again. Worst of it was the real hired hand who, when the hay baler stopped making proper string ties, walked behind in the "pollen laden" air hand tieing each bale....and it was also he who was in the loft stacking until the load was 2/3 pitched. He then got on the wagon to personally chore the final, fartherest thrown bales. I will remember him always as the only person who instead of muscle had spring steel in his body....
High schoolers around here still get summer jobs taking tassles off corn for the seed crop...not unlike your piece rate its 20 abreast piece rate against the clock and you better not miss one....I think its good to have that kind of work ethic behind you...as far behind as possible:thumbsup:
I hayed out my field for a few years, it was bucolic......

Oooo....there's a bet you would have lost! And....additionally....I've shown cattle in the ring at county fairs. :)
...well.......I've dated a few......but I never purposely showed em off...........

WELL NOW....I AM impressed!
13th grade passer, hay tosser (I'd prefer to leave alone any reference to patty tossing), cow puncher, quiz conquerer, friend of starlets, AND partially bionic...very impressive resume! And I will make good on my bet...next time I see you...:drinking: ...is on me!
But in all seriousness Rick, showing cattle where they need to go at a county fair is stretching your credentials a bit and sort of diminishes your otherwise impressive Vita. After all that would make you little more than an utter usher.....:eyeroll:

Yeah I know what you mean Wyatt....seems like a BIG problem at Ohio State football games when the Mich cheerleaders start grazing....
Robert, be easy on Wyatt,i think his former grazers are kinda nipply...sorta...kinda...in a fun way..heee
ROFLOL.....
Scott I am pleased to find a thread or forum where an understatement is understood. My crack is an ongoing OLD joke between U of Iowa and MN...pig bowl, trophy. I just saw a docu on Woody Hayes and his mania and thought, with Wyatt's interjection to switch words and teams around. EVERYONE knows Mich is where thinkers attend and Ohio State is where lackers abound...
Just ask Mike Wallace....:thumbup::eyepop::beer:
As for Wyatt...I am taking donations to send him to Canada...not that I don't like him....those canucks simply need a good dose of mob action and street Wyatt.....
I grew up in the city and lived in the metro area until I was 43, but have recently become more familiar with the use of hay, as well as what it looks and smells like before and after "processing".

nice.... dandylion ranch......."O home on the range..........makin wine spoodie odie makin wine..........
