Car show in Burbank 10 - 1 today

I've driven my GT every day for the past 15 years without ever missing a beat. Until today. Actually yesterday, it decided not to start. When I turned the key absolutely nothing, no clicking or grinding. Bright alt light and the voltmeter says 12.5, which dropped to 11 when in the start position.

Long story short, I couldn't drive my GT to the show this morning, but I did make it and it was a lot of fun seeing so many cool MGs.

Came home, whacked the starter with a 2x4 and it started right up! GRrrrrrr. Time for a new starter I guess...

Ah, darn. Missed it! The wife wanted to go look at countertops and floor tile (sigh) and I completely forgot about the Autobooks show (my brain had gone numb, I think). I did get to the newly revived British Car show held in Woodley Park west of the 405 freeway back in June (?). That was great.
