Car Shows with MGC Classes

I'm in the process of updating the AMGCR Newsletter calendar for the next issue.

Thought everyone would appreciate an update on what shows will have a MGC Class. They are as follows.

10 April, GOF South Mk XLIV, Jekyll Island, GA

17 April, North meets South, Pismo Beach, CA - MGC class just added.

24 April, British Motor Classic, Tampa, FL

6 June, British by the Sea, Waterford, CT

12 June, Heartland MG Regional, Overland Park, KS

27 June, Michiana Brits British Car Show, South Bend, IN (think there's a college there or something...)

25 July, British Car Show of NE PA, Chinchilla, PA

25 July, Greater Ozarks British Motoring Club All British Car and Cycle Blowout (phew!), Carthage, MO

8 August, Brits on the Lake, Port Perry, Ontario - the show organizer just added a MGC Class.

18 September, British Car Show, Newburgh, IN - ditto.

25 September, MGs on the Rocks, Bel Air, MD

25 September, Southeastern British Car Festival, Dillard, GA

I await replies from many more shows, and I anticipate more shows being added to this list, especially since another 6 shows from 2009 had MGC classes.

In addition, I know of another 19 shows throughout the US and Canada that require as little as 3 MGCs to form a class.

Glad to hear my C won't be an orphan at Pismo

Yes and no...yours is the only GT registered.

If they get 2 more GTs and one more roadster, they may consider separate MGC classes.

Can I trailer my ugly MGC to Pismo? Will make all the other MGC's look even more fabulous... LOL.

Just heard back from the organizers of the Pismo Beach show.

There will definitely be a MGC class at that event.

If we get one more MGC or MGCGT we will have an MGC class in our show in Williamsburg on May 3rd, sign up at www.wmbgbrit.com. We have moved our show this year, from the winery to the town, just for a change.

Don't forget the oldest All British Field Meet held every year in Portland, Oregon. There has always been an MGC class at his event.

Show day is the Saturday of Labor Day weekend at Portland International Raceway.

Going to be at Pismo in one of the B'ee, got to do a bit more work on the Cee before I take it out for the big miles. Also I still need to start working on the interior.
