Thought I had done all my homework on this but obviously not. Do the existing pads between the car and the crossmember stay attached to the car or the crossmember? The fitting instructions are not clear on this. Thanks

Not sure what you mean here. Are you talking about the rubber pads about 5/16" thick about 2" square with the big studs through them?

If so, they're not attached to either they just sit between with the stud through the hole in the middle.

Never used them myself, but it would seem to me that they would in fact remain in place with the wedges sitting wither above or below them. The wedges would just be acting as a substitute surface presented at a different angle.

I replaced the rubber pads (top & bottom) with new Poly. pads, then added the castor wedges. i installed the Frontline-Costello kit and my directions indicated you slip the wedges between the pads and the uni-body rail when installing. i did not remove the

Many thanks, guys. I just came in - mission accomplished! The pads go under the wedges. I haven't had the toe-in set up yet and already the steering is better.
