When I used to pull my choke out, it also revved the engine a little bit. When I got in it this morning, I pulled the choke out, and the thing would stall if I didn't keep my foot on the gas. Any ideas on how to adjust it, so that it gets a little extra umph while warming up?

Thanks,
Alex

Alex, two things come to mind-the first being that the choke cable has slipped in it's anchor point. I'd try having someone slowly pull the chock knob while you watch the linkage move and maybe readjust it so there is less freeplay. You should be able to see a rod on the linkage that rides on a cam to open the throttle as the choke is applied. The second thing is not as easy. I looked at the DGV that I removed from my 71BGT and it looks like the way the choke linkage is adjusted is by bending the linkage, similar to the way lot's of American cars were years ago. Never did like that way to make adjustments. I'm sure JDW will be along shortly to correct me if I am wrong, as he is more familiar with the DGVs than I am

Your correct Gerry. I would make sure the linkage is hooked up.
