My manual choke is sticking slightly open. The car didn't have a choke return spring when I bought it. Now I've got the correct spring but can't tell where it anchors. The throttle springs all anchor to the heat shield, but I don't see another attachment site there. I'd appreciate it if someone with a manual choke would take a look under the hood and help me out.

If you are talking about twin SU carbs, the heat shield has 6 places to mount springs. 3 for the throttle and 3 for the chokes.
