The clock in my '80 works...(well, the second hand moves, but it doesn't keep time, so it looks good but is useless.) Is there an easy way to fix it?, or would there be a volt meter that would easily replace it. At least that would have some benefit. Has anyone replaced their clock with a voltmeter with success?

Voltmeter would be almost a direct replacement, EXCEPT you'd have to change the continuously live that you'd need for a clock to an ignition switched source instead.

Why don't you just get another clock off eBay or fix yours?

Replaced the clock in my 80' with a volt meter from J C Whitney. It was a perfect fit and I held it in place with silicon. Joe

Take the clock to a local clocksmith, did the same with the clock in my Triumph, cost $50 to fix. If you can't find a local clocksmith ask at a jewlrey store, they get their watchs fixed somewhere? The guy I used also can repair any type of gauge, his words where' " gauge is just a less complicated clock"

Why not just replace the clock with another clock? They're on evilBay from time to time. :D
