My standard flat rectangular chrome driver and passenger side mirrors are generally okay, but they give a very limited view along both sides of the car unlike the bigger mirrors on modern cars. Are those "convex" mirrors that Moss sells (#165-180, 165-180) at $47 a pop much better? I've tried some of the cheap-o stick-on convex mirrors with only limited success. And they fall off.

My mirrors are on the wings, but I changed them from flat to convex. I could never keep the narrow tunnel of view of the flat ones adjusted to a useful spot. For me, it made all the difference in the world. Transformed them from chrome bling to useful mirrors.
Drew. If you have the original 1974 mirrors on your car and they are in good shape, you might try changing over to convex lenses. The part number is 165-182. The lens is removed by carefully pushing on it and removing the plastic black trim. Behind the lens is either a spring or a number of bits of rubber.

That's interesting. I just checked the Moss website, and the convex lens is $10.95 while the flat glass is $19.95. More for less? No, less for more!
Put the bill in front of the new lens. It'll appear larger LOL

What was the line from that Mel Gibson/Helen Hunt movie? " Warning - things in the mirror appear larger than they actually are."
