MGB: Craigslist works for me again.

I placed an ad for my car hauler last night about 8:00 o'clock and the buyer pulled it away at 7:00 this evening. I wanted $1,800.00 for it and settled for $1.850.00............. That's because I advertised it for $1,900.00, could tell the guy really wanted it, only needed to let him win the game by few points, and thought he deserved a little gas money for driving 90 miles up here to get it. I'd already had two inquires about it before he called but he showed up in a full size pickup with a trailer hitch so the other two can suck eggs.

A fine looking trailer.

It's a good one, had every option offered including brakes on both axles, real trailer wheels and tires, and a trailer spare tire & wheel. Most trailers are delivered with used car rims and RBTs, that is to say just any old used Round Black Tire that will fit the rims.

I have found CL to be the absolute best way to sell (and buy) not-so expensive things. Looks like the fella got a pretty good deal, really. Nicer than a lot of trailers I see.

I had it over 3 years and got my purchase price back. One like it is now $2,450.00 direct from the manufacturer. The front shield was a piece off a OTR truck that I cut down to fit, it given to me by a truck shop and the trailer manufacturer gave me the paint for it.

Last time I bought a trailer it came with MAYPOP tires.

Have you something to replace the trailer with John or don't have a use for it anymore?

Good for you! I just bought two Kayaks on Craigslist. I'm going to try and sell our Minivan, not sure how that will work out.

Looks like a great deal for the buyer. I sold my wife's Prelude (yes, she knew about it) on CL a while back. Posted on a Tuesday, car was gone by Friday.

My main use for it was to conveniantly carry a vehicle behind my Travco but have the Baja Buggy with a tow bar on it now. Just didn't need the trailer any more.
