Thank's Skye for getting us back on line, I was Jonesing like a housing project crack head. Anyway, does the crank bolt go on righty tighty, lefty loosey or is it backwards? Is there a locking tab on it that needs to be removed before the bolt will come off?
John, I m now a believer in PB Blaster. I took your advice, as I ussually do, but this time it was EASY. Anything else and you might as well be pissing on it.

I'm not home to be sure by looking, but as i remember, 1. It goes on clockwise 2. It is tight enough that I use air to remove it (check the torque in Bentley) 3. There is a washer with a tab for the key slot and that bends up around the nut to hold it.

Clockwise tightens, 1 5/16 ths socket. On mine an impact would not loosen it. Had to use a flex handle and a hammer to get enough oomph!

The locking washer just bends up on one of the nut flats. Use a hammer and screwdriver to knock it down flat, the bolt has right hand threads, and is tighter than billy hell.

I made a PB believer out of another customer of mine the other day too. I never hype anything that hasn't been proven to me that it works by a professional mechanic first. Blaster and Sea Foam are just two items that I sell the crap out of and when I see someone having problems and I know what will do the job for them I speak up.
