Took the B out for a drive today and notice it was cutting out on me on highway speeds. Never did this before remember every thing is new or has been replaced on this car. My MG guy had it since may and i got back in sept. But he did have it last week to put a new choke cable on it and reajuste the carbs. I pick it up yesterday and it drove fine. I will have to call him and see what he says. I hate to take it back to him it take him forever to fix things and he had it all summer. Also put new brakes in it and the front squeak and it drives me nuts he look at it twice and tryed some things but it still does it. Sorry for the long post but there is good imfo here.

Perhaps you have over choked it and fouled or partly fouled one or more plugs. They might be doing fine under a light load and then turn sour on you under a heavier load or at higher revs.

Put the engine under load (floor it in second or third at about forty miles an hour) and see if it misses even more.

If it does, pull the plugs and try cleaning them with carb cleaner and a brush or just stick a new set in.

If he put a new cable on he might have changed the linkage settings and you might be getting more fuel enrichment that you were before. See my earlier post today about setting up the linkages correctly.
