Took the B out for a nice cruise on a great sunny blue- sky day today and she ran like a dream!

That is, until I pulled into my sub division and started to make the slight climb up the hill to the house. She started chugging and had a very noticeable loss of power. I got 'er home and popped the hood. Nothing really noticeable, let it sit for a few minuets turned off the engine while I pondered the situation.

Yesterday I made a very slight adjustment to the fuel mixture, took it for a test drive and it ran GREAT....just like today. I started it back up..no problem and it seemed to run ruff, rev'ed it a little and got a backfire out the rear end...still running ruff! What the heck is going on here, how could it all of a sudden go from running beautifully to running like crap!

I poked around a little bit more around the engine and ......hey what is this!!!!!

The darn #1 plug wire slipped off the distributor and was just dangling there. Plugged it back in and....well, see my first sentence!

I' ve never had or seen that happen before. Just goes to show ya, a little thing can really mess you up!! I'll be keeping my eye on that #1 plug wire at the dizzy!!!!

All is well again! :)

Old man Lucas stops by every once in a while to say hi and remind us that even in the modern age, he's not forgotten about us. :)
