Pulled this from another list.
I know this is kinda the wrong time of year for this but since it's raining here and the forecast is more of the same for another week.

Hi Mike:
This hardtop is like the one that was fairly severely "trashed" on the board a week or so ago. The guy described that one as a "racing" hardtop. My personal opinion (FWIW) is that the swoopy lines and window shapes do not compliment the B very well. I did own a factory top for my first B and I thought that worked very well. I would keep looking for a more "factory" style one.
Just my 10c
Hmmm, I would think that it could be almost too warm in the winter, with all of the glass allowing the sun to shine in..... Not that I drive mine much in the winter anyway....

I know of an MGC that has one, kinda goofy looking. Wasn't their a picture of a B with one on this sight?
Using that top, you could have your MG double as a greenhouse in Feb. - Mar. and start your garden plants in there! Think about it. Do you actually get to drive your MG very much during those months? Probably not, unless you live in the deep South. So you can extend the effectiveness of your MG by using it as a nursery.
Sounds like a real bargain to me, except for the cost of freighting the top here from England. I wonder how much that would cost? AL Bradley
Al, I drive mine all year long, or at least until the ice gets too bad; NE Oregon. No hardtops here either.
Hey Chris - good for you. I drove my first one all year round in England. I had a factory hard top that I used the first winter but it was too much hassle to put on and take off so then I stuck with the soft top. Nothing like sunny winter day, top down, heater full blast, thick sweater, driving a nice twisty road in a beautiful car!
the Pope would have one of those tops if he drove an MG. Kinda like an Abingdon Pope Mobile !
I saw a picture of the hard top Ilike best a couple of years ago, but don't remember what it was. It was a white top on a red car. The top didn't have any side windows and reminded me of an old time Carson convertable top I used to see on custom cars except the back glass was too big.
