I've striped the dizzy for cleaning, the last one I did I used the wire wheel but it scratched the soft alloy and didn't look good.
This time I've blasted it,but its still dull, currently I'm looking at the dishwasher waiting for the wife to go to bed:devil:
What do you guys use,and when you do get the finish how do you keep it.

autosol and fine steel wool.
not game to try the dishwasher as I reckon my wife can hear me starting it up in her sleep and would immediately investigate knowing that i am up to no good.

Ultrasonic parts washer, then bead blast with clean glass beads, then run it through my "magic" machine to shine it up.
