This is a repost to answer the two questions in responce to my orginal post.
79 B got in to start.. car ran for about 1 min then quit. Like I turned the key off. No runon stutter etc. Smothe shut off. Wont restart.. The starter is turning and I am getting fuel to the carbs. Replaced coil as I could not see a spark.. Have a small spark with new coil? Not sure how big the spark should be?
Guess I can replace the coil wire and see. Next step flat bead to shop. As I am currently renting and the location doesn't allow for jacking etc. Unless there are other suggestions or help in the Atlanta Marietta willing to poke their head under my bonet? Car ran grate before this and gave no indication of any issues.

Did you change/clean/set to .015 points, replace condensor, check hi and low tension leads?

Ok sorry forgot to mention... I have Pletronic ignition so no points etc. I did replace the plugs with ngkbpr6es which was recommended here two days before however it ran fine for the two days. I have even put a new cap / rotor on same issue wont start. Should I check for spark from dizzy to plugs.. check each one? I only checked spark form the coil to dizzy by placing it next to block while attempting to start.

Robert,

here are a few things to check. First, on the new coil, the white/green wires should be on the + terminal. The white/black wires on the - terminal. When key is in the crank position, you should be getting 12v on the white/green wire at the coil. With key in the run position, you should be getting 6-8v.

You need 12v going to the RED wire on the Pertronix. The black wire from the Pertronix connected to the - terminal on the coil.

On the inside of the distributor, under the plate the Pertronix is mounted on, there should be a ground wire that is connected to the body of the distributor. Over time and many flexes, it will break.

BP6ES is correct, how about the gap? Check your ground and connections to pertronix? 3 OHM coil?
