Just about done with the engine reinstallation and have nearly finished all of the to-do's....but I cannot remember if there is a gasket between the distributor and the block???? I have a gasket that appears to fit the space but am unsure.

Nope. There's an o-ring on the distributor shaft, and that's it.
Thanks so much..I cannot wait until I can fire "Jackie" back up. It appears that this is the second rebuild on this engine...and the PO misrepresented himself by indicating only 64k on it....more like 164k....have no way of finding the guy now...bought the car off ebay 3 years ago form Utah...bit a of a stretch, seeing that I am in Mass.
