someone should buy the bonnet just to hang up in the shed set up to bang your head on it everytime you walk past...or is it just me who hits their head on the thing all the time
I think that most every Magnette owner has scars on his dome.
It doesn't help that most of us are at the age where there is very little padding up there!

A while back there was a great line of emails about hood injuries on the Z-Magnette list, one with a pic of Wayne Hardy being swallowed by his Magnette hood. I've had mine fall on me, thing weighs a ton. I prop mine open with a long broomstick handle with one end tapered to fit in the hood prop bracket in front of the radiator. Makes working in the engine room a lot easier.
The scariest is bringing your Magnette to car shows and propping the bonnet open. You never know who's gonna lose an eye on the corner of that thing!
I guess I'll "propagate" my bonnet prop modification soon. I believe you can modify the prop to extend higher with a pretty simple alteration. Its been on my "to do" list for a while now. Maybe today's the day!
