How can it get through MOT without those front parking/side lights?
Hmm. No side lights or front indicators, and only one wiper.
It could have been modded to have sidelights in the headlights, but not sure when amber indicators became mandatory, so they could earn you a pull by the plod.
The lack of a wiper ceartainly would get you stopped.
Maybe this B is for racing I remember hearing every ounce counts(:P)
No side marker lights or turn signals? That can't be legal just about anywhere. Maybe he's planning to use hand signals??? :)
Owen,
Being originally a RB car, it wouldn't have had separate side lights, all in the main headlight unit. As said, it's a 1981 car, so no way round having no indicators.
I didn't notice the wiper missing and looked to see if it had one centred, but no, only one on it.

That would account for the ash tray being missing! :)
Ah well, 1981 is a bit modern for me. I haven't caught up with the 70s yet. :D
Doesn't have those things but it is about to have one thing it didn't before.... a DPO
Windshield wiper. And, the steering wheel is on the wrong side!!
But folks, it "Drives AND runs!" I have a few cars that drive but don't run, so that must be good...(:D
In one picture the "MG Emblem" is on the front of the car and in another it is missing :)
Yes they did stop making them in '80 and sold them as '81s, but only in the UK. IIRC
Late 1977 on home market cars were always fitted with an OD gearbox and an OD switch in the gear lever knob.
