OK, what's the deal, I'm thinking about "re-polarizing" my positive "earth" (that's British, right?) car. Are all '65 through '67 Bs fitted with electrical tachs? If not, what might the give -away be?

Possibly a tach cable in lieu of a wire?
Yep, that's it!
The conversion is really not that hard. The Moss motors catalog has a step-by-step, including the tach conversion. They don't, however, mention the fact that you'll probably have to recalibrate the tach after the conversion. Email me and I'll send you the particulars on it.

Well I kind of figured it may be a wire vs a cable ... I think my real question is did they make them all electrical during that ('65-'67) period, and maybe why they would do such a thing, and what percentage of cars did they maybe have what in?
Thank you!
some of the early tachs were mechanical, some electrical--just depends on your car....i've a friend, john hubbard, who has everything needed to calibrate them--he's a computer whiz & is sometimes on the bbs....he's coming to my place this week from his home in florida to calibrate all the tachs on my shelves....don't know if he wants to branch out into that business but i'll ask him while he's here if he wants to take ya'lls tachs on for a few $$'s...
