MGB: Electronics for dummies

I plan on pulling out the ugly K-mart radio the PO installed and replacing it with the blanking plate. Common sense tells me I don’t want the hot wire laying around loose. What is the correct treatment to make the wires harmless? Shrink wrap the ends?

Or just pull the inline fuse-you DO have an inline fuse on the line, right?
