Just finished primer on the engine, will do remaining bay when engine has final paint. Thanks to all who helped including past forum discussions. Refinishing all the bits and pieces now.

Painting the engine and engine bay while the engine is still in the car ain't much fun, is it? But it can still turn out ok I think...
My before and "in-progress", FWIW...
I did mine, and it turned out ok...:thumbsup: I left the engine in, and painted the bay while I was at it. I did spend 125 hours on it though - over three months back in early 08.
Looks super sharp! Is that little hole into the front side cover tube plugged? Paint plugging the mesh filter might be bad.
