Engine & Engine Bay Paint

Hello all -

What bits under the hood have to be painted with engine paint and which can be painted with good old rustoleum? I know the bits that get very hot have to be, but what about ancillary parts? like the heater box?

I'd say anything that is heated should use engine paint. Basically the engine block and if you wanted to the exhaust manifold. Everything else should be ok with rustoleum

The heater box is fine with Rustoleum. I used RO for everything except the block & manifold.
