Is there a way to identify a 3 main engine (short of taking the pan off) from a 5 main engine. The engine in question is supposed to be a 67, but the engine ID tag is missing.

The 3 main has a mechanically driven tach, so I believe that there is an extra bump or smething where it is driven off the cam!
